General terms and conditions
(Contractual basis for your online reservations)

§ 1 Scope of application
The company meetingmasters.de, Dipl.-Kfm. Christoph Schwind, Max-Planck-Straße 22, 54296 Trier, Germany, is a free and independent company offering services to hotels and hotel customers. With the online reservation engine more, meetingmasters.de provides a service for persons who are responsible in companies / (public) institutions for the booking of hotel rooms within the framework of individual business traveling.

§ 2 Booking intermediary service
meetingmasters.de passes on each reservation to the relevant hotel on your behalf.

§ 3 Contract for accommodation and payment
The contract for accommodation is effected by the reservation, directly between you and the hotel you have chosen. The room charge confirmed by meetingmasters.de is paid directly at the hotel. Any claims and obligations resulting from the contract of accommodation exist directly and exclusively between the booking party and the hotel it has chosen.

§ 4 Type of reservation
Rooms booked as standard reservation are kept free by the hotel up to the time the hotel has stated. If the guest has not shown up by that time, the reservation is cancelled free of charge by the hotel, and the right of accommodation lapses. If the guest cannot arrive in time but will be late, the hotel must be informed directly by the booking party/guest about the expected time of arrival.

§ 5 Changes and cancellations
(1) To avoid misunderstandings and to ensure a smooth handling, please use always the hotel reservation system of meetingmasters.de, if you want to change or cancel your booking.
(2) To prevent misuse of the free reservation system and to protect the hotels against unnecessary false bookings, meetingmasters.de reserves the right to cancel non-guaranteed reservations in individual cases, if a booking cannot be confirmed by meetingmasters.de under the telephone number stated by the guest. In such a case the guest does not have any right of accommodation. The same applies if frequent bookings were made in the past via the email address stated by the guest, but the guest did not appear or confirmation requests of meetingmasters.de to this email address are not answered. To prevent a cancellation due to the assumption that a booking presents an intended misuse, the guest has the possibility to make a guaranteed booking by phone giving his credit card number.

§ 6 Hotel categories and information on the hotels
The common international hotel classification by stars provides non-binding information about the standard of the hotel. The hotel classification applied here, is based on the certification by the German hotel and restaurant association (Hotel- und Gaststättenverband, DeHoGa). Since the participation in the hotel classification system is voluntary, there are some hotels without a DEHOGA classification. meetingmasters.de asked these hotels to assess their standards themselves. To differentiate between hotels officially categorized by DEHOGA and those whose standard was assessed by the respective hotelier himself, the latter are classified by points instead of stars. In case of these hotels, all other information on the hotel and all descriptions are also based on the statements of the hotels themselves. Therefore, meetingmasters.de does not assume any guarantee for the accurateness and completeness of these data.

§ 7 Contractually agreed room charges
(1) All prices published in the system of meetingmasters.de are contractually agreed special prices that are valid for all bookings made in connection with the related event and via the system of meetingmasters.de. As a matter of principle, they do not apply for fair, conference or group reservations.
(2) The offered compulsory room charges are guaranteed for every reservation that is made.
(3) All prices are to be understood per room and per night, sometimes inclusive, sometimes exclusive breakfast; this may also vary for weekend offers. As far as Germany is concerned, the stated prices include service and statutory value-added tax. In some countries, taxes and/or a service charge, which depend on the respective national and/or regional regulations, are added to the room charge. The percentage/amount of this tax changes frequently, so that we can give only non-binding information.

§ 8 List of hotels that can be booked immediately
When you enter your travel data and duration of stay, the most favorable price in the system is determined and displayed for the available hotels. If there are several room charges for the desired length of stay, the respective average charge for the single/double room is indicated; the binding offer explains this price in detail in the lower part of the screen. The binding offer for the hotel chosen by you gives the valid room charge in the currency applicable for settlement.

§ 9 Data protection and data integrity
(1) The data entered by the customer are forwarded only to the extent that is necessary to implement the booking. It will not be passed on for any other purpose. Moreover, the statutory data protection regulations are observed when recording information.
(2) All data are compiled with the largest possible care. However, we cannot assume any responsibility for possible mistakes during data acquisition or data transfer. The transfer of data to other data carriers, also in part, or the use of data for any other purposes than those defined here, shall only be permitted with the explicit consent of meetingmasters.de.

§ 10 Applicable law and venue
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The place of performance shall be the seat of the company meetingmasters.de. For general merchants or persons, who have no general venue in Germany, Trier shall be agreed as venue. Otherwise, the statutory venue shall apply.
